WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga, in its simplest form is a mind and body practice that can build strength and flexibility when practised over a period of time. You will have heard of downward dog, and child pose… they are part of the Yoga experience but not all of it.
WHAT MAKES APTITUDE YOGA CLASSES SO DIFFERENT?
Yoga should bring peace to the mind and body and at Aptitude we feel that our yoga classes bring with them a sense of play and imagination not seen in any other Chester yoga studio.

Whether you’re searching for Vinyasa Yoga or yoga for stress relief or even yoga for relaxation, then we have the kind of yoga experience in Chester which is different. FAQS
Forget what you have seen on TV, in the films or even read in a magazine. You do not need to be flexible to do yoga. You build your flexibility over a long period of time, the younger you are, the more likely you are to get flexible and fast. However, flexibility is not essential with practising yoga.
If you want to learn how to switch off, how to relax, how to build stamina and body strength whilst also building flexibility then Yoga is perfect for beginners. Don’t forget, yoga is more than doing a pose, it’s about breath work and bringing calm and quiet to your mind.
Yoga pants are not needed however some people feel like it helps them to stretch and keep their muscles warm and relaxed. Shorts, t-shirts work just as well and for some, a pair of short yoga pants under the shorts helps with their hamstrings and quads to keep warm.
You should always bring a drink to a class. Water is all you really need so a good water bottle is advised like one from here.
Roughly speaking you will start to notice a difference in your physical and mental wellbeing within a 6 – 12 week period or regular practice. As yoga is a mind body practice, you will find that they will come together better when you are focused on these aspects.
From stress relief to better relaxation, more flexibility and even a better nights sleep, yoga at Aptitude can help you build general wellbeing.
